How lucky are black cats?

In June 2005, I took in a mama cat and her two babies. To keep my friends informed, I started writing newsletter-type email updates. I left out the tearful moments like when I felt that my unfriendly kittens would never be adopted, and the morning I awoke with my life spinning out of control: poison ivy in the backyard, overwhelmed at work and a cat family in my spare bedroom. What I left in was (I'm told) amusing so, by popular request, I've compiled the emails here. I hope you enjoy it!
